project – redevelopment of a neighborhood in the outskirts of Munich

no where | now here

The decision by the city of Munich to reconstruct the northern portion of its beltline highway to be taken underground revealed new development opportunities in this part of the city.

The project consisted of bringing together two parts of city which were divided until now, using the characteristics and influences of the neighborhoods.

Thus, taking advantage of the existing allotment gardening area of Schrebergarten, the gardens were extended into the public and private areas of the district.
The goal was to revitalize the neighborhood by transforming the three iconic residential towers of this district, offering their inhabitants common areas of quality and proper identity.
