demolition and reconstruction of two gas stations on the motorway A9 in the Lavaux region

In order to integrate the environmental considerations, the project owner required a building that meet the criteria of sustainable development.

The design, construction and building life follow a strict specifications:
– Geothermal heating
– Building insulation
– Photovoltaic solar panels on the roof (For heating and lighting needs )
– Renewable materials chosen based on environmental impact , taking into account embodied energy ,
– Replacement of electrical appliances as well as lighting system with energy-efficient variations.

The integration into the special Lavaux landscape and its proximity to highway A9 gives the project a double perspective to take into consideration.

The buiding’s exterieur material as well as the painting colors were chosen especially to be consistent with the surrounding landscape and environmental principles.

Breathable facades made of wood highlight and remind the natural character of the surrounding.

The original layout of the buildings was respected.
